Saturday’s live tutorial was a faux step card that uses two pieces of cardstock, a few score lines, and one very fun beach scene. My kind of fancy.

THE DECISION

I was going to cut the waves.

They stretched beyond the centre panel, and my tidy little brain wanted them to behave. The Live audience told me to leave them.

You were right. The longer waves made the whole card better.

THE COLOUR SHORTCUT

I started with Crumb Cake, chose Granny Apple Green for the tropical leaf, and looked across the colour wheel to find Berry Burst.

Done. No cardstock audition required.
